Whole Body Vibration

In the 1970s, the Russian space program found it difficult for its cosmonauts to maintain normal body strength in the zero-gravity state of outer space. This caused weakness in muscles throughout the body, including the heart muscle, and a dramatic decrease in bone density. Vibration Therapy was developed with a clinical test showing that vibrating the whole body caused muscle fibers to contract and release in milliseconds. It is an effective adjunct to normal exercise routines.

How does it work?

You simply step onto the platform; the platform creates a vibration, which is sent through the body. In reflex, the muscles contract. This causes tendons to stretch and increases blood flow, and improves blood oxygenation. This strengthens and tones without effort on the person’s part. Since the vibrations get sent through the entire body, all the muscle groups are affected.
